Imhoff continues strong season against La Rochelle

Juan Imhoff continues to have an excellent season. The Argentine winger crossed in Racing 92’s big 50-14 home win over La Rochelle on Saturday. His 70th minute try saw him combine with former French test fullback Brice Dulin.

Now aged 30 Imhoff has not played a test match for Argentina since RWC 2015. He has appeared on international duty in the Olympic Games but has otherwise fallen victim to the policy of ‘Jaguares first’. This will not see him miss out on a place in RWC 2019 though with Mario Ledesma set to include a number of players based in Europe.

Imhoff and Santiago Cordero were the starting Pumas wingers at RWC 2015. Both men are having tremendous seasons for their respective European clubs and are well-placed to be picked by Ledesma.
