England A victorious against Argentina XV at Bath

England A were victorious over the Argentina XV on Friday evening. Played at the historic city of Bath, the home side converted a 29-19 half-time lead into a 59-24 win. It was the second half that separated the teams, though this match was about depth building an identifying options for both teams a year out from Rugby World Cup 2027.

Capped English winger Noah Caluori set the tone with a try in the opening minute. The Argentina XV responded well with tries to second-rower Rodrigo Fernández Criado and Pumas tight head prop Pedro Delgado from mauls.

The home side fought back to level the scoring on 18 minutes with a try to England capped inside center Max Ojomoh. Charlie Atkinson landed the conversion and then scored and converted a try of his own. With it, England held the lead.

A further England A try followed with Caluori scoring his second. The hosts were looking in control but the Argentina XV scored late in the half with winger Santiago Pernas scoring an individual try. It cut the deficit to nine points.
