Álvaro Galindo has named a 29-man Argentina XV roster to begin preparations for the upcoming match against England A. The roster members will train at Casa Pumas from Monday to Wednesday. The Argentina XV will take-on the English next-of-XV in Bath on November 06.
Galindo will have special guests joining the roster for the three day camp. Pumas Pablo Matera (flanker), Tomás Lavanini, (second-row) Agustín Moyano (scrum-half) and Leonel Oviedo (hooker) will join the 29 players. This is due to them playing their rugby in Australia, Japan and New Zealand rather than in countries where the professional season is ongoing.
Facundo Cardozo (flanker) and Mateo Soler (wing) are notably absent. Both players made their test debuts for Argentina in the most recent match in which an understrength Los Pumas side competed to a draw against Australia in Mendoza.
The non-involvement of Cardozo and Soler comes despite the 29-man roster containing other Pumas from recent internationals. Juan Penoucos is also a Pumas rookie while Nicolás D’Amorim, Santiago Pernas, Nicolás Roger, Faustino Sánchez Valarolo debuted in 2025.
A notable feature of the roster is the return of Matías Osadczuk. He is a former regular for Los Pumas 7’s and is back in Argentina after having played Pro D2 last season. He and Agustín Fraga are both centers and both former Los Pumas 7’s names. Fraga also covers wing.
