Juan Ignacio Brex scores in Italian URC derby

Juan Ignacio Brex was a try-scorer in the latest round of the United Rugby Championship (URC). The center from Córdoba, Argentina touched down in a 39-14 Benetton victory over Zebre.

Brex was one of three Argentines who started for Benetton. The others were props Ivan Nemer, and Thomas Gallo. All three were involved in November’s test match between Italy and Argentina in Treviso. Gallo was the one player playing for Argentina. Brex and Nemer are capped by Italy.

Gallo was one of the finds of 2021 for Argentina. He made history by touching down twice in the try zone on debut. No other prop has done sonic the professional era. Gallo’s double against Australia was followed by strong form for Benetton and starts for Argentina in the November Internationals.

Gallo started opposite another Argentine prop in the Benetton vs Zebre contest. Eduardo Bello was Zebre’s tight head prop. Bello had a solid performance, furthering reason that he ought to be a regular in the Pumas 23 in 2022.

Gallo, Nemer and Brex were part of a convincing win in the URC Italian derby. The 39-14 victory places Benetton in joined 7th position of the URC with Connacht. Benetton can move higher on January 01, 2022 when they play host to Zebre in Treviso.
