Two tries for Rachel Johnson as Exeter romp to victory

Rachel Johnson had a day to remember in her first Premier 15s start on Saturday. The USA international scored two tries as Exeter romped to a club record 76-5 win over Durham Sharks at Sandy Park. It’s the sixth win in a row for the Chiefs, who haven’t tasted defeat since December 12 against Loughborough.

Also reaching the score-sheet was Kate Zackary with one try. The Eagles captain had moved to No8 to accommodate Johnson’s inclusion on the openside flank. Gabby Cantorna also had a banner day with one try and eight conversions for 21 points. Joanna Kitlinski featured as a second half replacement.

The four Canadians in Exeter’s lineup were not completely shut out – flyhalf Taylor Black scored one of her team’s 12 tries. Olivia DeMerchant started at loosehead prop with Emily Tuttosi alongside at hooker. McKinley Hunt packed down in the second row.

The match in its entirety can be seen below.
