Abby Duguid named Player of the Match for Loughborough

Canadian lock Abby Duguid continued her rich vein of form by earning Player of the Match honors for Loughborough on Saturday. She scored a second half try as the Lightning recorded their fourth consecutive Premier 15s win, a dominant 43-14 result over visiting Worcester Warriors.

It’s the second time in three matches Duguid has earned the individual accolade. She was also Player of the Match against Bristol on February 6. International teammate DaLeaka Menin continues to impress in the Loughborough front row.

Duguid has stepped up to fill a void in the Lightning second row left by the departure of Courtney Holtkamp, who returned to Canada last month for personal reasons. Flanker Sara Svoboda has not played since suffering a knee injury in December.
