Dallas signs All-American speedster Cristian Rodriguez

The Dallas Jackals have signed Belmont Shore speedster Cristian Rodriguez for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. A USA u20 star and 1st team Collegiate All-American in both 7s and XVs, the 23-year-old arrives with high expectations after a glittering college career with the Lindenwood Lions.

Rodriguez is known for his exceptional acceleration and footwork, essential attributes given his small stature. Hailing from Hawaiian Gardens, part of greater Los Angeles, he has been primarily used as an outside back to date but will make the transition to scrumhalf in MLR.

Jackals fans unfamiliar with Rodriguez will get an early look at their new man when he suits up for the Ohio Aviators in the World Tens Series kicking off later this month in Bermuda. Come the regular season he will be competing against Carlo de Nysschen and Jinho Mun for playing time at the No9 spot.
