Dallas Jackals sign Korea Sevens scrumhalf Jinho Mun

The Dallas Jackals have signed scrumhalf Jinho Mun for their inaugural Major League Rugby campaign. He is a local resident most recently attached to the Dallas Harlequins club side. The 24-year-old represented South Korea on the Asia Sevens Series in 2019.

Mun was born in Aūa, American Samoa, but grew up in New Zealand. There he played Division 1 club rugby for Linwood in Christchurch and Harbour Hawks in Dunedin. A brief stay with Yamaha Jubilo in the Japan Top League in 2019 led to his international selection.

Qualifying for South Korea through his father, Mun’s American passport means he will not be classified as an import in MLR. He will be the second South Korea international to appear in the league. Andre Coquillard played for the Seattle Seawolves in 2018.
