ARN Player of the Week – Taylor Paris

European rugby’s knockout rounds restarted this past weekend but COVID didn’t get the memo. Positive (or should we say negative?) test results in Castres robbed us of watching five Americas players at Welford Road among them Tomás Lavanini and Tyler Ardron.

Of those who did take the field, a trio of Argentines in France went well. Both Guido Petti and Santiago Cordero were in strong form as Bordeaux defeated Edinburgh, the latter scoring an early try. Facundo Isa made a positive impact for Toulon as a replacement in the win over Scarlets.

This week’s selection comes from the French Pro D2. In his second start for his new club, Taylor Paris scored the only try for Oyonnax in their win over Charente. The Canadian’s overall performance earned man-of-the-match recognition, and we had no hesitation in naming Paris our Player of the Week.
