Cordero Furthers World Cup Aspirations

Santiago Cordero’s wonderful season in the English Premiership continues to further his World Cup aspirations. The Exeter Chiefs wing / fullback has been shortlisted for the award of Gallagher Premiership Player of the Month for March.

He joins teammates Don Armand, and Ollie Devoto on the list. The trio have been integral to the club’s achievements in the month of March. The Exeter Chiefs are at the top of the table, and are assured of a place in the play-off’s despite there still being five rounds remaining of the regular season.

For Cordero the nomination is his third in the past five months of the English Premiership season. The club will say goodbye to Cordero after the play-off’s with the speedster continuing his career in France for Bordeaux.

Still aged just 25, Cordero left Los Jaguares to join the Exeter Chiefs in 2018. He did so having earned 33 test caps for Los Pumas. He is well placed to add to this total later this year. His class, and form make him one of Argentina’s leading backs.
