The Americas Rankings have been updated for September 09 2018. This week saw just the one test match with Argentina playing their toughest game of the year against New Zealand in Nelson. The 46-24 defeat sees no loss in points for Argentina.
International competition will resume next Saturday. Los Pumas will play their round four match of the Rugby Championship. It is to be their first of two matches this year against Australia. A win for the South Americans will see a notable gain in rankings points.
Costa Rica continues to be ranked on 32.16 points. This is the case despite the country having gained World Rugby membership in November 2017. Upon gaining World Rugby membership unions enter the World Rankings and do so with a 30.00 ranking.
