Rugby Canada have confirmed four internationals for the summer months, two each for the Men’s and Women’s teams. The latter are preparing for October’s World Cup in New Zealand, while the former are playing their first matches since a two-match trip to Europe in November.
Kévin Rouet has taken over the Head Coach role of the Senior Women. They will play Italy at Langford’s Starlight Stadium on July 24, the first home game for the Women’s side since July of 2015. Wales will serve as the final domestic warm-up before the World Cup with the Six Nations side arriving in Halifax for a match at Wanderers Grounds on August 27.
Halifax will also be the venue for the Men’s test against Belgium on July 2. Kingsley Jones remains as Head Coach of the team. He will have just one test this summer with the second match a non-cap friendly against the French Barbarians at TD Place in Ottawa on July 10.
