Uruguay have confirmed a 30-man roster for the World Rugby Junior Championship in Georgia. Los Teritos will compete in Pool A of the tournament, playing all three matches at Avchala Stadium in Tbilisi. Uruguay will be up against Georgia South Africa, and Wales in the group.
The roster underlines the decisions taken by Uruguay to invest in youth for Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026. Many regular players from 2025 were either used less than expected or left out of the season entirely. An outcome was Justo Ferrario played the season at fly half. The teenager debuted for Uruguay against Portugal in November 2025.
Ferrario actually played center against Portugal. He was one of three debutants that day for Uruguay. One of the others was Jean Cotarmanac’h. His brother, Pierre Cotarmanac’h joins Ferrario on the u20 roster to compete in Georgia.
