Córdoba will play host to the Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026 Final. The Central Argentine city blasted their way past Los Tarucas in the first SRA Semi Final on Friday. The 35-13 victory sees Los Dogos back into a SRA Final for the fourth time. They await the winner of the second Semi Final between Los Pampas and Los Capibaras.
The win was comfortable. Los Dogos converted a convincing 19-3 half-time lead into a well-deserved victory. They did so by playing with collectivity while defending very well to end Tarucas raids without points in the first-half. They also successfully neutralized Los Tarucas potent scrum.
Los Dogos led the contest throughout. They scored first with second-rower Enzo Hector José Ocampo scoring a try from a strong carry. Puma Nicolás Roger landed the conversion from an unfavorable angle. Two more first-half tries came with Los Dogos scoring both of them.
First, Puma Faustino Sánchez Valarolo kicked over the defense with the ball sitting up and scrum-half Nicolás Viola finished off an impressive try on 29 minutes. Second, hooker Tomás Montilla crossed from a lineout to maul try on 38 minutes.
Los Tarucas ended the half with a penalty. Stefano Ferro made it a 19-3 scoreline at the half-way point. Rather than getting better for Los Tarucas after the half-time break, it got better for Los Dogos. Loose Head Nicolás Revol Pitt scored in the first minute of the second-half.
Los Tucumanos looked to eroded the deficit and came away with a well-earned try down the left to winger Mateo Pasquini. It was converted by Stefano Ferro who then added a penalty on 54 minutes for a 26-13 scoreline.

It was as close as Los Tarucas could get to catching-up to Los Dogos. The home side made sure that they were well-ahead for the duration. They scored nine further points with Nicolás Roger slotting three penalties.
Los Dogos underlined themselves as the leading team in SRA 2026. In addition to shutting-down Los Tarucas to secure this place in the final with home advantage, Los Dogos added to their regular season form which saw the team top of the table.
