Los Dogos hosted and defeated competition leaders, Los Pampas on Friday. The 43-28 victory in Córdoba adds a twist to SRA 2026 as both Los Dogos and Los Pampas are eyeing up Semi Finals, and indeed, pathways to the title.
Los Dogos outscored Los Pampas by seven tries to four. They did so by securing a bonus point early and seemingly having victory wrapped-up relatively early on in the contest; indeed, Los Dogos held a 24-7 lead at half-time.
The opening try was scored on 11 minutes. Former Los Cafeteros Pro forward, Enzo Ocampo touched down from a rolling maul. The recipe was a lineout to maul and this was repeated for the second try. It was scored by the SRA try-scoring leader, Juan Greising Revol. He scored his 10th try of the season on 15 minutes.
Los Pampas found their rhythm by replicating Los Dogos. The first, and only Pampas score of the first-half went to hooker Ignacio Bottazzini. He scored from a lineout to maul; with the Buenos Aires team sending Los Dogos back more than 10 meters with their rolling maul.
The home side hit-back with two further first-half tries. Scrum-half Nicolás Viola darted over from close range on 25 minutes while fly half, Julián Hernández ran an angle to his right and went low to get between back-rowers Augusto Cabano Wall, and Juan Pedro Bernasconi to score.
A fired-up Los Pampas sent shockwaves from the second-half kick-off. Los Dogos misread Bautista Farisé’s kick but Santiago Pernas did not. The winger brushed off an attempted tackle from Mateo Sánchez, kicked ahead past Nicolás Viola, regathered and scored.

Pernas’ try set in half what was very much a back-and-forth 40 minute contest. Los Dogos’ recovered to find their response on 53 minutes with second-rower Valentín Gozálvez scoring from close range.
The theme for a long time in the second half was 10 points between the teams. With Facundo Pueyrredón unable to cleanly take the ball, Pernas struck again.
Replacement hooker Francisco Lusarreta then sent shockwaves to the crowd as he scored for Los Pampas eight minutes from full time. However, Los Dogos had the final say. Late tries to replacement hooker Tomás Montilla and replacement flanker Augusto Cugnini ensured a comfortable scoreline in Los Dogos’ favor on full-time.
Both teams will play derbies next up. Week 10 of SRA sees Los Dogos at home against Los Tarucas while Los Pampas have another away match, this time facing Los Capibaras. On present standings, the four Argentine teams are positioned as the Top 4 in SRA.
