NOTES
  • Both teams are now facing desperation for competition points. Peñarol find themselves in dark territory; outside of the play-off’s zone for the first time.
  • Os Cobras are bottom and cannot rise this weekend even with a bonus point win.
  • Peñarol continue with the recipe for failure that is two back-rowers playing second-row. Specialist Agustín Morales is again a replacement.
  • Os Cobras have Les Sancery version 2.0. Daniel and Felipe Sancery were top performers for Brazil after arriving from France. Now it is Les Mignot. Luca Mignot and Carlo Mignot are eligible for Brazil. They start in the backs together for the first-time for Os Cobras.
  • Carlo Mignot will make his debut in Super Rugby Americas as will Nicolás Alkmin.
  • Santiago Cagnone will debut for Peñarol. He is the only Argentine on the Peñarol roster. He is eligible for Uruguay.
  • Os Cobras have four Argentines in their starting XV. None are eligible for Brazil.
PREDICTION

The difference between Os Cobras and Peñarol in round one was the scrum. This was the weapon for the Brazilian side which easily factored in as the main reason for the outcome of the contest. A big scrum will again take to the field but Peñarol should be able to be more competitive in this area. The Uruguayans ought also to open up the defense. The Peñarol back-row and backline make the team notably better to that of Os Cobras. Peñarol are favorites to win and claim a bonus point.
