Canada names Men’s and Women’s rosters for Pan Am Games

Rugby Canada has named their Men’s and Women’s rosters for next month’s Pan Am Games Sevens. The tournament will take place in Santiago, Chile, at the Estadio Municipal de La Pintana on November 3 and 4. Canada’s Women won Gold at Lima in 2019, with the Men earning Silver.

For the men there are three changes to the squad that finished second at the Olympic Qualifier in Langford. Cooper Coats, Matthew Oworu, and Alex Russell miss out. Recalled are Elias Ergas, Matt Percillier, and Jake Thiel.

It’s a different look for the women’s side with several top players traveling to the WXV tournament in New Zealand. Olivia de Couvreur, Eden Kilgour, Charity Williams, and Shalaya Valenzuela return and there is a senior international in line for u20 standout Carissa Norsten.
