Chile Confirm Final Three Names for Inaugural Rugby World Cup

Chile has confirmed the final three players for the country’s first-ever Rugby World Cup. The roster named contained 30 rather than 33 players. Head Coach Pablo Lemoine has now completed the roster with two more forwards and one more back.

The three inclusions are scrum-half Nicolás Herreros, back-rower Thomas Orchard and loose head prop Vittorio Lastra. The trio have all played Super Rugby Americas for Selknam. Herreros has prior experience playing professional rugby in Spain.

The final 33-man roster contains 19 forwards and 14 backs. Los Cóndores will make their Rugby World Cup debut against Japan in Toulouse on September 10. That will be the biggest match in the history of Chilean Rugby. Subsequent matches will be against Samoa in Bordeaux, England in Lille and Argentina in Nantes.
