Yacare add second-rower Lucas Sommer from Argentina

Lucas Sommer has joined Yacare for the remainder of Super Rugby Americas 2023. The second-rower will join from Argentina on Monday, specifically from SIC in Buenos Aires.

The move marks the first professional rugby opportunity for Sommer. It comes with four future rounds remaining in the regular season. Yacare are on track for a place in the play-off’s. The regular season finishes on May 27 while the Super Rugby Americas 2023 Final will be on June 09.

Sommer plays his rugby in the second-row for SIC. He joins Paraguayans Álvaro Báez Mariano Garcete, Ignacio Martínez and Argentine Felipe Villagrán as second-rowers on the roster. He will play under the leadership of Ignacio Inchauspe from Buenos Aires rivals Olivos.
