Old Glory to host Ironworkers and Arrows in preseason

Old Glory DC have announced two preseason games against Eastern Conference rivals. The New York Ironworkers arrive on February 3, with the Toronto Arrows a week later on February 10. Both are Friday night fixtures at The St. James, Old Glory’s indoor training venue.

New York won both regular season matches between the two sides in 2022. Both were high-scoring affairs, the second setting a new Major League Rugby record for most combined points in a match and most tries scored. This is the first preseason match confirmed for the defending champions.

It’s also the first warmup fixture for the Arrows. They played DC on three occasions during the regular season, winning the first two before losing the season finale in Toronto. The Arrows also traveled to Springfield for a preseason fixture last season, with both sides taking the opportunity to test fringe players and new combinations.

Tickets for both preseason games are available now.
