Old Glory re-signs Canadian international Doug Fraser

Doug Fraser is the latest Old Glory DC player to re-sign for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 30-year-old Canadian international has committed to a fourth year in the capital district.

Since arriving from Austin ahead of the 2020 campaign, Fraser has been an invaluable member of DC’s backline. He has shown the ability to deliver high standards at either midfield position or on the wing. This past season saw Fraser playing 14 games including 12 starts, both career highs in MLR.

Fraser was selected for Canada’s mid-year squads in both 2021 and 2022, but has not added to his 4 test caps since February of 2019. At Old Glory he played alongside two other Canadians last season, prop Jake Ilnicki and back row Luke Campbell. To date neither have been confirmed by DC for 2023.
