Gonzalo Bertranou Gets Pumas Call-Up with Gonzalo García Out

One United Rugby Championship (URC) scrum-half replaces another. Gonzalo Bertranou is back in Los Pumas. The Dragons scrum-half received a call-up to replace Gonzalo García of Zebre. The latter is out of the July Internationals with a shoulder injury.

The change is the second of two. Santiago Chocobares was earlier ruled-out of the July Internationals. His place on the roster went to Matías Moroni. Chocobares faces a race against time to recover in time for the November Internationals. García will be back long before then.

Bertranou has 37 caps for Argentina. The native of Mendoza has done well for himself since the end of Los Jaguares in Super Rugby. Bertranou has fit in well at the Dragons. With him called-up for Argentina’s home series against Scotland, Felipe Ezcurra will tour with the Argentina XV to Portugal and Georgia.
