Old Glory signs Australian flyhalf Rohan Saifoloi

Old Glory DC have signed flyhalf Rohan Saifoloi for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Hailing from the Queensland capital of Brisbane, the soon-to-be 30-year-old represented Australia at the 2011 Junior World Championship and toured with the Manu Samoa squad to Europe in 2017.

Saifoloi has played at the highest levels of domestic rugby in Australia for the past decade. He was a standout with Southern Districts in the Shute Shield and played for four different teams in the National Rugby Championship, with a brief stop in New Zealand’s ITM Cup with Tasman in 2014. Most recently Saifoloi has been playing for Eastern Suburbs alongside new Toronto Arrows signing Sione Fa’alelei.

Though both Super Rugby and test caps have eluded him to date, Saifoloi arrives as a highly rated playmaker whose attacking style is similar to Jason Robertson, the man he has been tasked with replacing. He is the second new addition revealed by Old Glory following rugby league international Junior Sa’u.
