Kieran Joyce signs one-year Seawolves extension

Kieran Joyce has signed a one-year extension with the Seattle Seawolves that keeps him at Starfire Stadium through the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The versatile 25-year-old back is the 13th returning player to commit for the two-time MLR Shield winners during the off-season.

After joining the club from Birmingham Moseley in England, Joyce proved a quality addition to the Seawolves with 13 appearances including starts at flyhalf, inside center, and fullback. The left-footed kicker slotted 27 points with the boot as a secondary option to AJ Alatimu.

Joyce will have competition for a starting role in 2022 with first choice flyhalf Alatimu and returning center Ross Neal joined by newcomers Juan Mostert, Dan Kriel, and Tavite Lopeti. Also signed on is Lauina Futi, who played both center and wing in his first MLR season.
