Two-year NOLA extension for Lockie Kratz

Lockie Kratz has agreed a two-year extension with NOLA Gold that will see him stay in Louisiana through the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The newly-capped Canadian international follows fellow first-year professional Andrew Guerra in re-signing for the club.

Kratz was a late addition to the club this year, securing a one-year deal in late April after impressing on a two-week trial. At just 21 he was the youngest player on the team but made a strong impression with six games played including four starts in the midfield.

Both Kratz and Guerra made the immediate jump from MLR to test rugby after only one season. In fact both debuted on the same day – July 10. Kratz started against England in London with Guerra a second half replacement against Ireland in Dublin.
