Svoboda return, Slevinsky debut highlight Premier 15s weekend

A pair of Canadian flankers are notable inclusions on Premier 15s lineups this weekend. Sara Svoboda makes her competitive return for Loughborough from a knee injury suffered in December of last year, while new arrival Janna Slevinsky is set for her professional debut with Saracens.

Slevinsky is joined by Alysha Corrigan and Carly Waters among the reserves to play against Durham Sharks on Saturday in the first of a full slate of five games this weekend. Canadian winger Paige Farries and Eagles lock Alycia Washington start for Worcester against Harlequins, also on Saturday.

Loughborough’s game against Wasps on Sunday will be broadcast on the Premier 15s website. Kickoff is set for 2pm local time, 6am Pacific, 9am Eastern. Both Svoboda and USA prop Charli Jacoby are named on the Lightning’s bench.

At the same time Exeter will square off against Sale with eight North American internationals in the match day squad. Starters include Canada’s Emily Tuttosi, DaLeaka Menin, and McKinley Hunt along with USA quartet Rachel Johnson, Kate Zackary, Gabby Cantorna, and Jennine Duncan. Another Canadian Olivia DeMerchant is named as a replacement.

None of Sale’s three new Eagles signings are named on their roster for the match. The match will be streamed live on Exeter’s YouTube channel.
