Josateki Degei has been added to the New England Free Jacks roster for the remainder of the Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old fullback has arrived in Boston and will be available for the final three games against New York, Toronto, and ATL.

Degei helped Fiji win an Oceania 7s title in 2017 and also featuring at the World Rugby u20 Trophy. He then represented the Fiji Warriors in the 2018 and 2020 editions of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge before winning selection to Global Rapid Rugby’s Fijian Latui.

Originally signed by Dallas last October, Degei was selected by the Free Jacks in the supplemental draft. As part of the dispersal agreement the trio do not count as imports in 2021.
