Turks and Caicos Islands to host 2021 RAN Sevens in October

The Turks and Caicos Islands will be the setting for the 2021 Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens. The 2021 RAN Sevens will take place in October. The tournament will mark the resumption of international competition for many competitors from throughout the region. Competitors in the 2021 RAN Sevens are yet to be confirmed.

The home of rugby in the Turks and Caicos Islands, Meridian Rugby Fields has been selected by Rugby Americas North as the venue for the two day tournament. It will be played on October 16 and 17.

The 2021 RAN Sevens will be exclusively for Men’s Sevens. There will be no Women’s competition this year. Those competing will have the opportunity to secure a place at the 2022 World Rugby Challenger Series. That tournament will take place in February / March. Only full members of World Rugby will be eligible to compete.

The winner of 2022 Challenger Series will compete at the World Rugby Sevens Series as the 16th team. Mexico’s Women have already secured their place in the Women’s tournament.
