LA confirms Mika Kruse arrival from Raptors

The latest signing announcement from the LA Giltinis is the confirmation of Mika Kruse for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from the withdrawn Colorado Raptors, following Blake Rogers and Nick Boyer. Raptors captain Luke White is also expected to join the expansion side.

Kruse enjoyed a breakthrough year with then-Glendale in 2018, prompting selection to the USA Select XV for the Americas Pacific Challenge that year. He later made a brief replacement appearance against the New Zealand Māori at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Primarily used as an outside center in his first two seasons with the Raptors, he started all five games of the 2020 season on the right wing. It remains to be seen where LA intend to utilize the talented 22-year-old with his playmaking and distribution skills arguably best suited for the midfield.
