Old Glory re-signs All-American flanker Nic Mirhashem

Old Glory DC have re-signed openside flanker Nic Hirhashem for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The Collegiate All-American made his professional debut as a replacement against the Seattle Seawolves in his only appearance for the club before the season was suspended.

Mirhashem is currently in his native Spain and will play for FC Barcelona in the División de Honor during the off-season. He represented Spain at age-grade level up to the national u18s and remains eligible to play for both the Leones and US Eagles.

It remains to be seen which of Old Glory’s heavily-populated loose forward stable will return in 2021. Matthew Gordon was selected in the Collegiate Draft while Jamason Fa’anana-Schultz has extended his stay. Co-captain Mungo Mason is currently in Australia but should continue in MLR next season.
