Three more Canadians join Exeter Chiefs for Premier 15s

Exeter Chiefs have confirmed the signing of three further Canadian internationals for the Premier 15s season. Emily Tuttosi, McKinley Hunt, and Taylor Black will join Olivia DeMerchant with the quartet following US Eagles trio Kate Zackary, Gabby Cantorna, and Jennine Duncan to the English club.

Tuttosi hails from Manitoba but played her recent domestic rugby for the Calgary Hornets and the University of Calgary Dinos. The 25-year-old hooker has previous experience in the Premier 15s having turned out for the Loughborough Lightning in the 2018-19 season.

Queen’s Gaels graduate Hunt enjoyed a rapid rise to test honors, jumping to the senior tour of England in November 2017 after captaining the u20s that summer. A second row specialist, she has previously turned out for Barrie RFC and the Aurora Barbarians in Ontario club rugby.

Black, a flyhalf, has been earmarked for stardom from an early age. The Oakville, Ontario, native was named Rugby Canada’s Young Player of the Year for 2017, captained the Youth Olympics Sevens side 2018, and was called up to make her senior test debut at the age of just 18 later that year.
