Facundo Cordero scores on Exeter Chiefs debut

Facundo Cordero scored for the Exeter Chiefs on Sunday. In what was his debut appearance the Argentine winger crossed for a first half try. The league leaders were beaten 40-17 by Saracens.

Cordero started the match on the left wing. The Argentine winger moved to the English Premiership after two matches in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). He has not played Super Rugby and is uncapped.

Juan Pablo Socino also started the match. The RWC 2015 Pumas center had an assist try for Saracens. He was one of three Americas players involved for the winning team. USA players Will Hooley and Kapeli Pifeleti started at fullback and hooker.

The English Premiership now takes a break. The Exeter Chiefs next match will be on September 30. They will be at home against London Irish for their penultimate match of the 2019-2020 season. Saracens will play away to the Worcester Warriors.
