Isa Scores as Toulon power past Lyon

Facundo Isa scored in a dominant win from Toulon over Lyon today. Toulon were 36-14 winners in a match where they scored five tries to one. Three of Toulon’s tries were penalty tries. Isa’s score was the final try of the match.

Isa’s score demonstrated his ball-carrying abilities. He bumped off a tackler before retaining his feet and getting over for the try. Two other Lyon defenders could only watch as the Puma went over.

The Argentine back-rower was a replacement for Toulon. He and fellow northern Argentine player Ramiro Moyano were both involved. Moyano started the match at fullback.

Also involved was USA hooker Joe Taufete’e. The Californian made his Top 14 debut, doing so for Isa’s former team. Taufete’e was a replacement. He entered the match to join Argentine Patricio Fernández. The former Pumita played at inside center; a potentially notable selection given the needs of Los Pumas.
