Highlights – Uruguay vs Sudamérica XV

The road to Japan saw Uruguay claiming a win today. Los Teros were up against a composite side, the Sudamérica XV. Taking to the field for the South American side were leading players from Brazil and Chile in addition to invitational players from Argentina and Colombia.

The Sudamérica XV proved to be up for the challenge. They would score three tries, all of which went to Brazilian test players. Fly half Josh Reeves would was one of them and he would also land a conversion and a penalty goal.

Uruguay scored four tries with Toronto Arrows winger Leandro Leivas bagging two of them. His double both came in the second half and were both in the right corner. Uruguay’s other tries were first half scores with Germán Kessler, and Nicolás Freitas touching down.
