Test Match Highlights – Chile vs Romania

The historic first ever match between Chile, and Romania took place on Saturday in Valparaiso. For Los Cóndres the opportunity of playing against a test side from the world’s Top 20 was a breakthrough.

Prior to the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) Chile struggled to receive regular international competition outside of South America. Matches against teams such as Romania did not eventuate. Yet the rugby played was a showcase as to why such matches merit allocation in future international windows.

Chile were the losing side against Romania but did give the Eastern Europeans a scare. They forced the Oaks to play the full 80 minutes to complete their win.
