Pro 14 Season Over for Eduardo Bello

The Pro 14 season is over for Eduardo Bello. The Zebre tight head prop will play no further rugby for Italian side Zebre in the 2018-2019 campaign. The Argentine front-rower underwent surgery on Tuesday in Parma.

Bello had his knee repaired, specifically the lateral collateral ligament of his left knee. The injury occurred playing for Zebre away to Ulster in Belfast, Northern Ireland on February 23. His recovery period is estimated at being three months.

With 29 appearances for Zebre, Bello is a leading player for the team. He joined the Italians from Argentina following impressive form for the Argentina XV and missing out on a contract with Los Jaguares.

In having played for the Argentina XV Bello is captured by Argentina and cannot pay for Italy despite qualifying on family grounds.

Aged just 23, Bello remains a prospect for Los Pumas. He is currently the fourth ranked Argentine tight head prop in Europe. Ahead of him are Juan Figallo (Saracens), Ramiro Herrera (Stade Français), and Francisco Gómez Kodela (Lyon).
