Player of the Week Cordero Scores Two Tries in Away Victory

Santiago Cordero scored two tries in an away victory this weekend. His double helped the Exeter Chiefs to a 33-30 victory over the Worcester Warriors at Sixways. His performance, which included 90 meters with ball in hand, saw Premier Rugby naming him as the Player of the Week.

Both of Cordero’s tries came in the opening half and both were scored from close range with his snipping step seeing him getting over to score. His double takes his try scoring tally for the season up to eight.

Into his final months as an Exeter Chief, the club will be sad to see him depart for Bordeaux. There is still a title to press for, however and with 16 rounds played the Exeter Chiefs are highly likely to be involved in the play-off’s.

The Chiefs top the table with 66 points, eight more than the second placed Saracens. From 16 games played thus far Exeter have 13 victories.
