Americas Rankings – November 11 2018

The Americas Rankings have been updated for November 11 2018. They have been recalculated to take into account the implications of Saturday and Sunday’s November Internationals.

Canada’s 65-19 win over Kenya was greatly enjoyed by the staff, players and supporters. It was Canada’s biggest scoreline since 2006 vs Barbados. The celebrations of the win and start to the RWC Repechage can be complimented by the Americas Rankings. Canada rise from 59.93 to 60.80 points. In the World Rankings it sees Canada rising from 23rd to 21st.

The USA Eagles’ 30-29 win over Samoa sees the USA rising to 72.32 points. It sees no changes in the Americas Rankings though means the Eagles are very close now to Georgia who have 72.37 points.

Argentina’s 28-17 defeat in Dublin against Ireland sees no change in the rankings. This is based on Ireland having home advantage and going into the game with a much higher points ranking.

Also playing this weekend were Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. All three played against teams which are not test sides. For this reason no rankings exchanges took place.

International competition continues on Saturday. Argentina, Canada, Uruguay, and the USA are to all play in capped internationals. Chile will play host to the Maori All Blacks which will see no rankings points exchanged.
