Brazil Back Home After Successful Tour to Peru

Brazil’s Women’s 7’s team is back home after a successful tour to Peru. This past weekend (October 20-21) Brazil played matches against Paraguay and Peru in Lurin. The fixtures were part of a tour organized by Peru Rugby.

The tour started on Saturday with a shock as Paraguay completed a 19-17 win over Brazil. The Brazilians bounced back in game two to defeat Peru by the same scoreline, 19-17.

On Sunday Brazil gained revenge over Paraguay, winning 24-10 in a vastly improved performance. Brazil also defeated Peru again, this time doing so by 34-5.

Earlier on in the year Brazil won the South American 7’s title. In doing so Brazil’s women underlined their supremacy in South America. Of the 15 editions of the Women’s South American 7’s competition Brazil has won 14 of them.
