Pro D2 – Week 6 Preview

After a weeks rest the Pro D2 resumes. Week 6 of France’s second division sees some notable clashes and a host of involvement from the Americas. The following preview details the involvement from the Western Hemisphere.

Opening Week 6 of the Pro D2 will be the Basque classic of Biarritz vs Bayonne. Argentina and Chile will each have a player involved for the visitors. Martín Bustos Moyano starts at fullback while prop Ramón Ayarza will feature from the bench.

Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay are to all be represented in one match as Charente host Mont de Marsan. Lucas Caneda starts on the left wing and Joel Sclavi at Tight Head prop. The Argentine duo will be joined by Chilean Pablo Huete from the bench. Uruguayan Agustín Ormaechea stars at scrum-half for the visitors while the Italian capped Argentine Leandro Cedaro will play no 8.

In Paris Massy play host to Vannes. The visitors have named USA RWC 2011 and 2015 veteran Eric Fry to start at Loose Head. Joining him in the starting lineup is Argentina’ Javier Lagioiosa.

The final fixture takes place on Sunday. Two teams with Top 14 ambitions will face in the heart-land of French rugby. Both Montauban and Colomiers will name their line-up’s for the match on Saturday afternoon.
