Chile Ready for 2018 RWC 7’s

Chile is ready for the 2018 RWC 7’s in San Francisco, California. Los Cóndores 7’s Head Coach Edmundo Olfos has finalised his 12-man playing roster for the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament which will be played from July 20-22.

The 12-man playing roster is virtually identical to the training roster which has been together over a sustained period. Back in the mix is Universidad Catolica’s Juan Pablo Larenas which sees Old Boys’ Julio Blanc missing out.

Olfos’ team is captained by Felipe Brangier, a regular for his country. He was involved in the Gold Medal winning performance at the Juegos Suramericanos in Cochabamba, Bolivia in May.

Chile will begin their campaign in San Francisco against Ireland. In the event that Los Cóndores defeat the Irish Chile will advance to face South Africa, the reigning World Champion of the World Rugby Sevens Circuit.

The Chileans depart for San Francisco on Wednesday July 11. The are to fly to the northern Californian city via Dallas, Texas, arriving on July 12.
