Buenos Aires and Cuyo to meet in Argentine Junior Decider

Buenos Aires and Cuyo are to meet in Argentine Junior Decider, it was determined on Wednesday. The two teams finished top of the table and are to play against each other in the final at Tucumán Rugby club on Saturday.

Also competing at the ground will be remaining competitors both from the premier and second divisions. For all involved it is a potential life-altering opportunity due to Argentina now having PladAR and a professional team. It means that the players involved in the Campeaonto Argentino Juvenil (Argentine Junior Championship) have potential contracts to play for.

Wednesday results’s included an important 34-23 victory for Sur over Chubut province. Oeste de Buenos Aires, despite playing the majority of the match with fourteen men, overcame Entrerriana 28-26. Both winners secured their places in the top division, making Chubut vs Entrerriana a relegation battle come Saturday.

Elsewhere both Santa Fé and San Juan won their matches, defeating Alto Valle and Noreste respectively, enabling them to seek promotion to the premier division.

In the Semi Finals of the Championship division Buenos Aires defeated Mar del Plata 27-18. Meanwhile Cuyo secured its place in the final by defeating the home side, Tucumán province, 17-10.
