Argentine women’s squad announced for Pan American Games

The UAR has confirmed Argentina’s women’s squad to compete at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada next month. The two day rugby tournament will feature six competing countries in the women’s division – Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Mexico and the USA. Matches are to be played on Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12.

The Argentine team will leave Buenos Aires on June 26 and prepare for competition in Toronto. The athletes will be staying at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort until July 5. Thereafter they will transfer to the Cibc Village until July 14.

Upon having the squad confirmed captain María Eugenia Bottelli stated: “we have the highest expectations, considering that this will be our Pan American debut and he have been working hard for a long time with camps which have helped us greatly to finalize out game plan and grow as a team”.

“The competition is going to be very tought because they are the best teams from the region. In any event we are seeking to impose our game and give our everything to perform well and complete our objective. But in addition to the competition itself, this is an historic tournament for the team and for women’s rugby in our country”.
