Ayarza Scores First Top 14 Try

Chilean Ramón Ayarza scored his first ever Top 14 try this weekend. The Loose Head prop scored in the second half for Bayonne who were playing a postponed fixture against Racing 92. The try was ultimately consolation for Bayonne as Racing 92 won 59-20.

Ayarza has not been involved in Chile’s Americas Rugby Championship campaign. Both he and fellow Cóndor, Pablo Huete, remain in France looking to help their club void relegation. After 17 rounds Bayonne is bottom of the Top 14. With 20 points the club is currently 14 behind where it needs to be to avoid relegation.
