Chile XV Roster comes with big names for Americas Rugby Championship

A 33-man Chile XV roster has been named for the upcoming Americas Rugby Championship (ARC). Chile’s next-of-XV will be the home team in a tournament that also involves the Argentina XV, Paraguay and the Uruguay XV.

The ARC is a non-capped tournament but a vital component of ongoing preparations for Rugby World Cup 2027 for Chile. The 33-man roster contains players who did play at Rugby World Cup 2023 in France as well as many Chilean certainties for Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.

Big names included on the Chile XV roster include Matías Dittus, Rodrigo Fernández, Matías Garafulic, Baltazar Gurruchaga, Santiago Pedrero, Clemente Saavedra, Domingo Saavedra, Marcelo Torrealba, and Santiago Videla.

A notable newcomer on the roster is Christián López. The outside back currently plays his rugby in France for Bergerac and was formerly involved with CA Périgourdin in the Espoirs.
