Dallas signs Warringah loose forward Charlie McKill

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of loose forward Charlie McKill for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Born in Scotland but raised in Australia, the 26-year-old arrives from the Shute Shield in Sydney where he was vice-captain of the Warringah Rats.

McKill played 8 games for Warringah during the shortened 2021 season. The 6’2″ (1.88m) flanker is best known for his sevens exploits, however, having lined up for invitational sides Samurai and the Projecx Waterboys before earning selection to the Scotland 7s squad. He debuted in a pre-season tournament at Elche, Spain, in November 2018 but has yet to make a World Sevens appearance.

Dallas have unveiled two overseas additions over the past week, the other one-time England fullback Chris Pennell. Arriving from MLR clubs are second row Mike Matarazzo and flanker Bronson Teles, with prop prospect Tayé Olagunju joining the extended roster.
