Los Jaguares XV are looking to remain unbeaten in the Currie Cup First Division. In their third round match they are up against the Border Bulldogs in East London.
In round one the Ignacio Fernández Lobbe coaches Jaguares XV were 50-43 winners over the Griffons; while in round two they defeated the Boland Kavaliers 54-17.
For the round three match against the Border Bulldogs Fernández Lobbe has made eleven changes – five in the forwards, and six in the backs. In doing so Los Jaguares XV have their strongest line-up in their brief history.
Left out this week is Martín Elías. The arrival of Domingo Miotti from Argentina sees the RWC 2019 hopeful thrust straight into the starting line-up. Elias scored 30 points in the opening matches, more than any other player in Currie Cup First Division.
Miotti will partner Gonzalo Bertranou in the halves and have Juan Curiz Mallía outside him. Also involved from Super Rugby is Santiago Carreras who will start the match at fullback.
In the forwards a back-row of great potential will start together. Jaguares flanker Francisco Gorrisen will captain the side and be joined by Santiago Grondona, and Santiago Montagner. 2018 Jaguar Javier Díaz will start at loose head and 2019 Jaguar Lucio Sordoni will play tight head.
