Argentina XV Ready to Battle USA in Fort Lauderdale

The Argentina XV will begin action for 2026 on August 15. The National Men’s next-of-XV will do so against the USA at Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. The non-capped fixture will see up-and-coming Argentine players having the opportunity of playing against the USA Eagles, the country’s Senior Men’s test team.

Álvaro Galindo is taking a 28-man roster to Florida for the match. The roster will train together at Casa Pumas in Buenos Aires from Thursday until Sunday before making the trip to North America.

Galindo notes that the player roster is centered upon Super Rugby Americas (SRA) players who had strong seasons. Players from the four Argentine SRA teams have been considered as have Argentine players from other SRA competitors.

Federico Serpa is the only player on the roster who has not played Super Rugby Americas yet. He has been fast-tracked directly into the squad after standout performances for the Argentina U20s (Los Pumitas).

Nicolás D’Amorim is the only capped player on the roster. He debuted for Argentina against Uruguay in Salta in July 2025. The flanker from Hindú sat out the Super Rugby Americas season due to injury.
