SVNS 2026-2027 Season Confirmed

The SVNS 2026-2027 season has been confirmed by World Rugby. The 2026-2027 season will see tournaments taking place in Dubai (UAE), Cape Town (South Africa), Singapore, Perth (Australia), Vancouver (Canada) and New York (USA). The regular season tournaments will be followed by the SVNS World Championship with legs in Hong Kong, Valladolid (Spain) and Bordeaux (France). 

The 2025-2026 season saw New Zealand crowned Women’s champions and South Africa’s winning the Men’s title in New York. This was followed by Australia’s Women and South Africa’s Men winning the SVNS World Championship titles. 

The SVNS can be a pathway for players to the top level; indeed, many SVNS players have won on to play at Rugby World Cups. World Rugby says around 50 players who previously competed on the Series represented their countries in either thenNations Championship or the World Rugby Nations Cup in July.

The 2026-2027 SVNS will see South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Argentina, Fiji, France and the USA competing in the Men’s competitions and Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, France, Japan, Fiji and Spain in the Women’s.
