Los Dogos are now the clear leaders of Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2026. The Córdoba side completed a narrow home win over Los Tarucas on Saturday. The outcome of the match means that Los Dogos are now alone at the top of the table.
Week 10 results see Los Dogos benefiting and Los Tarucas suffering. In addition to winning 18-13 against Los Tarucas, Los Dogos gain as a result of Los Pampas losing against Los Capibaras while Los Tarucas are now in trouble after Selknam defeated Peñarol.
The low-scoring contest featured just three tries in total. Los Dogos ultimately got the job done as they completed a 10-6 half-time lead into an 18-13 victory.
The opening try of the match went to Los Dogos’ fullback, Mateo Sánchez. The 7th minute score saw good passing with the fullback putting on the afterburners and showing good strength to avoid a tackle from Tomás Vanni.
The remaining first-half points all came in the form of penalties. Stefano Ferro landed two while Facundo Rodríguez kicked one.
The second-half saw one try per team. Following a break down the left, flanker Facundo Cardozo powered over to score on 45 minutes for Los Tarucas. It meant the scores were level and they remained so for 14 minutes.
Los Dogos replacement hooker, Juan Greising Revol scored which proved to be the decisive match-winning try. Greising Revol did what he has done throughout the SRA season by scoring from a maul. It was followed by a three-pointer with Rodríguez slotting a penalty nine minutes from full-time.
Los Tarucas had an opportunity to win late in the contest. An attacking lineout was won meters out and an attack followed only for Luciano Asevedo to fumble a pass which saw Los Dogos holding on for victory.
The competition leading Dogos travel to Chile to face Selknam in Week 11. Los Tarucas also have an away trip; the Tucumanos need a win against Los Pampas in Buenos Aires.
